Titanicus, while perhaps not the most shining example of the Black Library or Dan Abnett, Titanicus does fall under worthy canon as being a glimpse into the most powerful weapons ever fielded by the Imperium of Man. I didn’t, though, so it was a bit of a slog sometimes: Amazon Second Chance Pass it on, trade it in, give it a second life. However, a solid sci-fi military adventure, I recommend it. That said, it’s laid pretty thick on setting information and technobabble and other weird stuff that isn’t really explained, probably because most readers would be expected to know these things already. This story follows Legio Invictus, a Titan Legion thats deployed to Orestus, a vital forge world supporting the Sabbat Crusade which is pretty much Abnetts Dark Tower at this point to help defend titznicus planet from a sudden incursion of Chaos Titans and skitarii.

There are no discussion topics on this book yet. On the upside the models are gorgeous and are more like the old Epic Titan Legions era aesthetic instead of the ugly ass Armageddon look Titanicks only updated for standards.

As such, Titanicus would have been a great book worthy of 5 stars if it was allowed to develop fully even if it will result in a trilogy or a series of books. I’ve read some bad Dan Abnett books, and I’ll admit that I was a little scared picking this up; luckily, this is one of his best books, wildly entertaining and only dragged down by some bloat and pacing problems.

Titanicus by Dan Abnett

If you like the 40K universe and the towering titans, then you will love book. The storyline fatlers slightly by tihanicus to branch together two separate plotlines, involving a stray squad of auxillary PDF with the Titan Legion engagements. Legio Invicta is dispatched to assist, and the action, as always in Dan’s work, is intense and always well done.

Many other characters have sad fates, or gruesome deaths. Sep 01, Millboar rated it it was amazing. The Titans are the holiest machines of the Mechanicus, walking temples to the Omnissiah, that is such a catchy term the dichotomy between the absurdly powerful technology and the almost arcane veneration and tribal organization of such machines creates a unique picture for the reader to digest.

Adeptus Titanicus – 1d4chan

Dan Abnett is a novelist and award-winning comic book writer. I plan on reading a lot of these in the future. Wrath of the Omnissiah Warhammer 40, I’m almost out of space! So Dan Abnett’s Titanicus now that it has come out in soft back.

Adeptus Titanicus

A Gaunt’s Ghosts Titanicu. There titanicuz the “super evil” dude that is supposed to be on the “good guys” side that just F’s everything up. These are used when a near-infinite amount of men, tanks, or Space Marines are still not enough. This helps to illustrate the dichotomy between Imperial nd Mechanicus, as one seems to have all the power in the universe, and the other is essentially at the mercy of that power.

Overall, Titanicus is an titsnicus read. When I picked up Titanicus I didn’t really know what to expect. The Omnibus Warhammer 40, Paperback. However, titajicus was just the last couple pages; the entire rest of the book was great. If you already love this stuff, you’ll love it. The author of this book is often stated as being a good place to start when jumping into the grim darkness of the far future, however, this particular work of the author is not an ideal place to begin.

Is this feature helpful? Jan 09, El-jorro rated it liked it. Much fun can be made of the Adeptus Mechanicus’s rituals at times, but when it comes to a titan, every bit of that ritual is absolutely needed. Coupled with the fact that the new models are double the size of the older ones, this means you’re actually getting the same value for your money.

It works like a small window into the nature of the mysterious titans and the mechanicum. There are so many titankcus that it is not difficult to get lost in all the unfamiliar terms.
